Two months in
I am sitting in the lobby of our hotel, listening to these Aussies talk about last night while Celeste is on a business call. We just got to Bali a few days ago and taking things slow after the wild ride that was China. We finished up some client work last night and are getting ready to explore this island for the next month.
I want to write something that summarizes the last two months but that would not be easy. Each country, city, day, person, makes their own impression and you take a little bit of them with you after.
You have to know that everywhere is different and to let go of what you think is normal and any feeling of entitlement. Things like, food, temperature, bathroom, and internet all vary and you just have to roll with it. You might have low pressure cold water one place and then high pressure with no cold water somewhere else. Internet was probably the hardest thing for me to adjust to, but even that I’ve just come to see it as nice when it’s there. At this point we have accumulated so many photos and some solid internet will be good to upload a bunch so maybe just maybe we can get caught up and post as we go and not feel this backlog type feeling.
This song belongs right here along with the other memories. It has been following us along, thru a few nights and on a few trains.
