Quiet times in Split, Croatia

It was a cold and cloudy Saturday when we arrived in Split via Vueling Airlines from Rome.
Our host Suzi picked us up from the airport, gave us some Easter bread, and took us to the nearest ATM to get some Croatian Kuna so we would have local currency on hand.
We got some groceries then settled into our rented apartment, which is not too far from the center of town and Diocletian’s palace. Since it is Easter weekend, a lot of stores and attractions are closed and so far, we have not seen too many other tourists in town.
We feel like we have Split all to ourselves, it’s quite nice.
